Racking Systems

Selective Racking Systems

The most popular storage system used, this racking system provides 100 percent accessibility and good stock rotation. it's fully adjustable and easily installed.Equipment and capital investment for such a system is also the most economical.

Econmetall has a full range of compatible accessories for different pallet types, sizes and weights.Safety or rack protection accessories such as corner guards, column protectors, bollards, frame protectors, back mesh cladding, pallet back stops, etc. make storing a lot more safer.

Drive in and Drive Through Racking Systems

Maximum storage capacity using minimum space, this drive-in drive-through racking system consists of blocks undivided by aisles. Suitable for the storage of large quantities of homogeneous products, picking and storage can be facilitated by forklift trucks driving right into the racks.

Drive-in racking – where picking and replenishment is done from one side only. Drive – through racking –where both sides of the racking are used.

Double Deep Racking Systems

Designed to increase storage capacity, double deep racking system can store two pallets deep in a single entry rack and four pallets deep in a double entry rack. This system is particularly good when throughput is low and fast movement of pallets is not critical.

A special reach truck with double pantograph or extendable fork attachments is required for this type of racking system.

Very Narrow Aisle Racking Systems

Optimizing floor space by having aisles only marginally wider than the loads, Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) racking systems make full use of roof height too, to increase storage capacity. This system still maintain 100% accessibility, excellent goods protection, fast picking rate and good stock rotation.

VNA forklift truck equipment with either man-up or man-down cabins capable of reaching higher beam levels are used.

Push Back Racking Systems

Push Back rack systems are available in structural or roll-formed frames. Push Back systems work by placing pallet loads on a series of nesting carts fed forward by gravity on rigid structural steel rails. As a pallet is loaded from the front, it pushes the pallet behind it back one position. When unloading, the front pallet is removed and the rear pallets automatically come forward to the front picking position. This allows for easily accessible Last-In-First-Out (LIFO) inventory management. Operators can store product from 2-5 pallets deep, with front-only loading from a single aisle. Push Back offers more versatile storage than Drive-In rack because each lane flows independently and vertical storage operates separately from lanes below. Multiple pick facings for a variety of SKUs can be stored and retrieved without disturbing other product above or below in a single-lane or double-lane format.

Multi Tier Racking Systems

Multi-tier racking systems usually include upright, beam, shelves, deck, handrail and stair etc. Additional storage floors can be incorporated into the rack with walkways to allow pedestrian access for order picking. This maximizes all available headroom and is ideal for storing a wide variety of packaged goods for hand picking. It is the ideal solution for the utilizing of warehouse's height and space, also can accommodate sophisticated automated picking systems. Multi-tier racking systems are widely acceptable to automobile and logistics industry.
